Think of Moffat and walking immediately
springs to mind. Located on the southern upland way it
has long been a favourite of walkers and ramblers alike
and makes the perfect base for a walking holiday. The
Moffat Walking Festival in October may well be the highlight
of the walking calendar but all year round the hills
are alive with the sound of fell boots.
Make

on the Southern Upland Way, Scotland’s
Coast to Coast path, which passes close to Moffat.
We are a 'rambler friendly' establishment
and also have many leaflets for various grades of walks
in and around Moffat.
